This week’s post is from BETH HAMILTON PHOTOGRAPHY. Beth is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Hampton Roads area of Virginia but available for travel! She specializes in weddings, engagements, couples, and high school seniors. She is featuring our book in a beautiful navy lamb in the 10×10 size. Enjoy!
I LOVE wedding albums! I love the experience of looking through our own wedding album and am so happy when clients decide to get one of their own! It is such a different (and better!) experience to flip through a wedding album than to scroll through hundreds of pictures on a computer screen. I’m not shy about my love for Madera Books and the amazing products that they make. Becky and George’s album was no exception. They went with a gorgeous navy blue leather and the final product is gorgeous! Pictures can’t do it justice, but here are a few shots of their album! I just know they are going to treasure it for many years!
That shot on the left is of my logo stamped into the inside of the back cover! Kind of exciting for me
Since it’s difficult to take pictures of a picture, here are a few of my favorite spreads from their album.
Thank you so much Beth for letting us share your lovely book!

This week we have a post by COSTA VIDA PHOTOGRAPHY. Jonathan is the person behind COSTA VIDA PHOTOGRAPHY. He thinks capturing life’s important moments is a really big deal. His goal is to produce a cohesive collection of images that conjure up the raw and beautiful emotions of your big day. His post features our 8×10 book in steel linen . Enjoy his beautiful pictures!
I just completed designing Lauren and Josh’s wedding album. After working on the spreads, I liked it so much that I ordered a sample album for my studio. The quality of craftsmanship and customer service from Madera Books is impressive. Thanks Cyndie for making my day!
Thank you so much Jonathan for letting us share you beautiful pictures!

This week’s post is by GREEN COUCH PHOTOGRAPHY. Zac and Chris are the masterminds behind GREEN COUCH PHOTOGRAPHY and though they are located in Dayton, OH they are always willing to travel. They are featuring our 10×10 in top grain black leather. Hope you enjoy their post!
One of the stances that we take as photographers is that we are only going to offer the best product possible. When we began, we were offering an optional “wedding book” to our brides. Yes, for the time being it did the trick. Though as our photography improved, so did our process (as well as our end product).
What we found was that the wedding books were not matching the quality of photography we were delivering. We needed something that we could place our images in and appear to belong. That is when we found Madera Books. Once we got to see our high quality photography in a high quality album, we knew we made the right choice. In this sequence of photos we will highlight the wedding album that we include in our top-tier wedding package.*
This first image may appear to be the album cover; however Madera went a bit further to preserve the quality of their product. They created an outer “shell” that essentially protects the album from dust and the elements while not being admired.
Closed Album Case
Made entirely of genuine leather and hand crafted by master artisans, this is what our brides experience when they first receive their wedding album. This is just the start of the album experience.
Closed Album Case
When they get to interact with their album, our brides notice the strong magnet sealing the case. They open it and are introduced to their wedding album for the first time. This is typically when we hear the gasp, squeal or any other sound that an overly excited bride may produce.
This might be the time to mention the high quality of these pages. They are not your typical photographic paper. Your images are printed directly on thick, durable, pages that will stand the test of time. Believe us when we say that your great, great grandchildren will be able to enjoy the images in this album just as you did.
Thick, durable pages
When the album is opened, brides are brought right back to their wedding day.
High quality images
The pages transition seamlessly, with the smooth, trench-free spreads.
This allows us to place breathtaking images that span the entire spread without distorted shapes or colors.
Full page spread
Our brides chose Green Couch Photography based on our experience, creativity, and philosophy on customer service. We chose Madera Books on the same criteria. They hand-craft these albums from start to finish, making each and every album one-of-a-kind.
*The album shown has been upgraded to 10×10 and added 5 additional spreads. The Album we offer with our top-tier wedding package includes:
- 8″ x 8″
- 10 spreads
- Black or Brown, Top-grain leather
Thank you so much Zac and Chris for sharing your post with all of us!

Today we are sharing a post from KEREN SARAI PHOTOGRAPHY. KEREN is a photographer located in the Chicago area. She was a vocal music major in college, has an unhealthy love for french fries and loves to travel. We hope you enjoy her lovely post!
I’ve been meaning to write this post for quite some time now because I’m so excited to share with you the new albums I’m offering this year. I searched high and low and tried out many album companies this past year and have finally landed on a company that I feel provides the highest quality albums for my clients. This year I’m proud to be offering albums from Madera Books. These albums are the real deal guys, beautiful top grain leather and flawless finishes.
Before I go into all the details of the album itself, I want to take a moment to talk about why I believe everyone should buy a professional album. As I was doing my search to find the best album for my clients, I kept running into this word “heirloom”. For those of you who don’t know or don’t remember, the word heirloom means: “a valuable object that has belonged to a family for several generations”. Your wedding dress falls into this category…that’s why some people justify spending thousands of dollars on a dress they wear once! But, let’s be honest ladies…you and I know our daughters/granddaughters will probably never wear them! None-the-less, our wedding dresses are indeed heirloom items. A more important heirloom item, in my opinion is your wedding album!
My family in general doesn’t have many heirloom items, and guess what….my parents are actually divorced now but I would give anything to have had a beautiful book filled with images from their wedding day because it represents a precious moment in life….one that is only a faint memory to them but one that is important to the history of our family. So, I just urge you to really think about it….maybe it means you take $500 from your wedding dress budget and add it to your album budget…I promise you won’t regret it.
Okay, so now onto the actual book!!
All albums come in this gorgeous leather protective box that has a magnetic flap. The album pictured below is our 12×12 album but just recently I added the option to order a 10×10 album instead and have included it in two of our wedding packages.
Super THICK pages for extra durability! It’s kid tested …too. Okay maybe I don’t recommend you letting your kids play with the albums but if they happen to find it there’s no need to worry that they will rip the pages! I will also add, all of the pages have UV-coating protection to prevent sun damage.
After you get your online gallery of edited images, I generally have you pick about 80 of your favorite images from the day. I will then do an initial design and send you a link for you to review and add comments for revision. We’ll go back and forth a few times until we get it just right!
The book lays completely flat, meaning no funky creases in your pages!
You can also customize your album by choosing a picture for the front or you can opt out of that as well. Each book also comes with imprinting of your names! How beautiful does that look!
So, I know you’ve already taken the time to invest in a quality photographer…will you take the time to consider an heirloom album for your family?
Thank you so much Keren for sharing your post with us!
