Madera Books

Katie Lamb Photography Part II

Today we have the second post by photographer KATIE LAMB.  This time she featured 2 of our leather books (a black one and a khaki one).

Here’s her post….

love wedding albums, which is why I include them in all but my base wedding package.  I ordered a few more sample albums recently from John + Gabi’s wedding and Jeff + Julie’s wedding, and they are beau-ti-ful.

These albums are made to last a lifetime with their gorgeous leather covers (many colors to choose from) and thick and sturdy pages with a protective coating. Custom imprinting and an inset cover photo (if you wish) is included in all album orders.

Thank you Katie for sharing your wonderful pictures with us!

YL Photography

Today’s post is by YL Photography and she features our 12×12 medium brown calf leather as well as our brand new box!! Yanshu is a traveler, foodie, swimmer, snowboarder and a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Northern NJ.  Here’s what she had to say…..

Let’s be honest, how many times are you really going to insert that DVD or USB drive into  your computer to view your wedding photos?  In my opinion, there’s no better home for those precious moments on your wedding day than in a gorgeous custom designed wedding album.  With an album, you not only have something tangible to share with friends and family, but a heirloom that you can pass down to your children, and their children, and… umm you get the idea =]!

Each flush mount album is hand crafted by my favorite album manufacturer Madera Books.   I’m seriously SOOO excited about these albums, and I can’t wait to show them to you!  The photos do not do them justice, so I would love to meet with you to discuss how we can create a beautiful album together =D!

Each album is enclosed in an elegant magnetic keepsake box.

SLEEK is one word that comes to mind when looking at this large 12×12 album.  I love the streamlined look!

There are a variety of cover choices ranging from genuine and faux leather to linen!

Your name is imprinted on the cover for an extra special personal touch.

Each album opens to a beautiful panoramic spread for that wow factor.  Each spread is printed on archival quality photographic paper.

The album lays completely flat.

Thank you so much Yanshu for letting us share your amazing photos!!

Capturing Subtleties

This week we are sharing a post that features a 10×10 album in top grain brown from CAPTURING SUBTLETIES.  Sandy is the photographer behind the lens at Capturing Subtleties.  She’s based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is addicted to dark chocolate, loves freshly baked cookies and could wear a yellow sundress every day ;) (her words, not mine!). Here’s her post…..

About six months ago, I decided I would give a new album company a little test drive.  I’m always re-assessing my products, my equipment and my knowledge – to make sure it’s at the highest quality it can be.  Yes, sometimes I can be a little picky (my husband is all too aware of this and would say a LOT picky… every month it’s something new that I MUST upgrade)!  After receiving my first album from Madera Books (other photographers – truly!  go check them out!), I was overjoyed.  The leather, the binding, the photo quality – everything was perfect.  I was in love :).

I decided it was due time to share my new love with you all when I ordered a few more of these albums in January for some clients (Marie and Peter, you’re famous again!  And Britney and Lucas are back!).   Are you ready for a tour?!

The album comes in it’s very own leather box with a magnet closure.  Gorgeous.

The book comes in multiple options of thick leather – you can upgrade to a premium leather, choose faux leather – or stay with the standard!  The standard is the leather that you’ll see in these pictures.

The pages are THICK.  Thicker than cardboard thick.

And the gutter… I mean… what gutter?  You can barely tell it’s even a page break.  These albums are made with lay-flat binding, which means there is no crease or fold in the pages – they lay completely flat.

You also can choose to have the cover imprinted with ANYTHING you want!  As you can see… Marie and Peter wanted to share their love for pie and bbq as well ;).

I truly LOVE how the album looks when it’s opened!  Each page is custom designed by myself and tailored to each unique wedding – I love to tell the story of the entire wedding day!

The albums truly blew me away.  I am so excited to finally be sharing them with you and hope that you fall as deeply in love as I did :)

Thank you so much Sandy! We love your pictures!!

Birthday Give Away Winners!

Hey Everyone!

Madera is two years old now and I just want to say thanks for being a part of what we are doing. As part of our two year celebration we are having a drawing from all the orders that were placed on our birthday, Friday, January 11th. We are giving two books away from those ordered. The way we are doing this is we printed out all the orders that day on pieces of paper. We had 22 books ordered and some people ordered duplicates. To keep it fair, those people can’t win twice but have their name in the drawing twice. I’m traveling right now so I had my daughter, Makenzie, take care of the drawing. Check out the video to see the winners!

Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to the winners!
